Our Barn: The Definition of Rustic Elegance
State Rd. Gardens Farm is a family farm and a family dream. We’re located just 40 minutes NW of Chicago.
Our corn crib is a weathered red barn with slatted wood that allows breathtaking lighting for photographs. Our barn was even featured in the book TWO with photographs by Melissa Ann Pinney and introduction and editing by Ann Patchett. While the outside of the barn is rustic, it is kissed by romantic touches. Lovely oversized moonflowers climb thirty feet up the exterior and bloom every evening. The inside of the barn features authentic architecture covered in lights, a built in bar, and an absolutely stunning wagon wheel mason jar chandelier.
Every morning a rooster crows and sparrows dance through the air. A deep breath clears the head and faint fragrances of lavender and fresh strawberries linger. As the day wanes to night you’ll witness a breathtaking sunset over 100 acres of quiet land dotted with rows of corn that sway with the breeze.
This is our farm, our home, and our lives; and we welcome you to enjoy it too.

I went to eleven weddings last year, this venue is gorgeous! One of the prettiest weddings I've ever seen! It was so secluded and refreshing to enjoy the outdoors and see my friend get married.
Such an amazing venue . I had the opportunity to coordinate a wedding that was held on this property over the summer. This venue has everything from that old rustic barn feeling that will capture some great photo ops to breathtaking sunsets while eating dinner with your guests. You will experience the ambiance of rustic mixed with a touch of elegance. The string lights and chandelier are just the perfect touch while you share your first dance! the property has an abundance of room for your guests while also keeping that intimate feel. The owners are wonderful people to work with and are very accommodating. This venue does not disappoint.
This property was truly stunning! I attended a wedding at this venue last year. Everything was so beautiful, peaceful, and romantic! I loved the barn, the inside was rustic and charming. The outside dinner set up was amazing, followed by the most beautiful sunset. So memorable, beautiful spot!
